[06/01/2010] - Summer in the District
Here's an update on my whereabouts and accomplishments lately. I will be spending this summer in Washington DC primarily as a technical intern at a web strategy firm in Farragut West. I started a week ago and it's going great.
I will be continuing in my capacity as a consultant for Voxeo's Tropo product and am excited to be attending their customer summit in Orlando from June 21-23. Do let me know if you want to meet there or discuss voice/text application development in general.
Don't fret though, I am available for hire to build whatever applications we can dream up! I will continue as a freelance technologist focusing primarily on unified communications application (voice, SMS, IM, and even twitter) development. If you have an idea already or looking for insight on how to integrate new communications technology into your product or service, we should definitely talk.

Most Recent Community Involvement
My most recent charitable effort was on Saturday, January 16, 2010 for Crisis-Camp DC in response to the Haitian earthquake.
With hundreds of other volunteers, I put my technological skills, and time, to work in order to assist first-responders (and ultimately victims) of the natural disaster.
You can see some photos and video of me at the event at my experience photo gallery.

Latest: Making Services Talk and Text
In conjunction with my consulting work with Voxeo on their release of Tropo (cloud telephony), I have been using the product for myself and making mashups of web services' APIs. I'm focusing on charitable organizations and open government initiatives.
Check back here soon for (or email me for a sneak peek of) live demos of my voice-and-IM applications for the NIH's Pillbox Identification web service and my entry to GlobalGiving's innovation contest.
If you or your company/organization is interested in unified communications (traditional telephone, VoIP, IM, SMS text message) applications, let's chat.
